The first one is the textbook “Lessons of the Past. History of the Holocaust in Ukraine”  | The first one is the textbook “Lessons of the Past. History of the Holocaust in Ukraine” by Anatoly Podolsky. The textbook is aimed at students of 10-11th grades of Ukrainian comprehensive schools and covers the complex page of Ukrainian history in the XX century: history of WWII in Ukraine, namely the fate of Ukrainian Jews under the Nazi occupation (1941-1944). It broaches history of the Holocaust in Ukraine – part of the European Holocaust history – the terrible total WWII genocide of the Jewish people in all European Nazi-occupied countries (1939-1945). We hope that this textbook will be interesting and useful to the students of Ukrainian secondary schools. Especially considering the fact that the Holocaust was included by the Ukrainian Ministry of Education into the curriculum as a part of Ukrainian History course and World History course, subchapter History of WWII. |
Teaching materials on the history of Jews and anti-Semitism in Europe published in Ukraine 
| In March 2008 teaching materials for Ukrainian high school students on the topics of xenophobia, anti-Semitism and racism have been published. Being part of an international project initiated by the OSCE/ODIHR and the Anne Frank House the materials have been adapted for use in schools in several countries and are available in the official language of each partner state. In each case they were prepared and adapted with experts from the countries concerned, namely the Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies and the association "Nova Doba" for Ukraine. The materials are issued in a package of three parts covering three main themes: 1. The history of Jews in Europe and anti-Semitism until 1945 2. Contemporary anti-Semitism in Europe today 3. Prejudices, discrimination, racism and anti-Semitism Besides translating the materials from English to Ukrainian, Vitaly Bobrov, Oleksander Voytenko and Anatoly Podolsky from the Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies and "Nova Doba" also added to the materials by including the topics of Ukrainian history and the history of Ukrainian Jewry. |
The sources of tolerance. The catalogue of exhibition. 
| The exhibition is a part of common project of the Judaica Institute and the museum of Anna Frank (the Netherlands) “Holocaust and Tolerance education” in Ukraine. The catalogue is dedicated to heroes of the exhibition – famous people, who profess the tolerance ideas – a human rights activist Petro Gregorenko and Ukrainian political prisoners, a pedagogue Yanush Korchak and a writer-traveler Vasyl Yaroshenko, a metropolitan Andriy Sheptyzkiy and Glagolivy family, a translator Mukola Lukash and a philologist Sergiy Averenzev, children and teacher ot the international camp “The tolerance source”. Short biographical references, texts and photos are represented in the catalogue. The catalogue will be interesting for youth, their teachers and parents and for everyone who is not indifferent to the problems of humanity in the modern world. |

| This book is worth to be read by everyone who regards life seriously. A lot of things will weigh heavily on a heart, will remind, and will set thinking: what was going on (and what is going on) whith us with us “in this world without God and without people”?! – one of the authors once told bitterly. | Diary of David Rubinovich This is the first Ukrainian translation of the diary of David Rubinovich – a teenager born in the proximity of Kielce before the war and killed in 1942 in Treblinka gas chamber. For over two years since 1940 the boy has been writing a diary, where he noted events of his life. The diary contains remarks of a teenager in an extreme situation and presents an impressive documental source on the Holocaust in Poland. |
