The Congress of national minorities of Ukraine is the all-Ukrainian non-governmental non-comercial union of 16 national minorities of Ukraine. The Congress was founded aiming to unite efforts of the national communities in Ukraine on integration into Ukrainian society and its transformation into democratic and civil one, combat prejudice ansd xenophobia, active advocacy for the tolerance values, equality, mutual respect to the national individualities and values of each representative of the polyethnic Ukrainian people. Since 2002 the CNHMU conducts projects for Ukrainian youth aiming to educate and promote inter-ethnic and inter-religious tolerance. In the annual children inter-ethnic camp “Sources of tolerance” took part more then 1300 teenagers. In 2005 a network of tolerance clubs for teenagers was established (4 in Ukraine and 1 in Moldova). Seminars for the dialogue of young leaders of national minorities are conducted. The CNMU cooperates with the association of history teachers “Nova Doba” and other NGO’s. Representatives of the CNMU take part in conferences on tolerance implementation of OSCE, European Council, Anne Frank House and other international organizations.
